Gundam Battle Universe trailer complete with mecha geekiness

This Gundam Battle Universe trailer has everything a Gundam otaku needs. There's a good set of mobile suits to see. Even more exciting is watching those same mobile suits blow each other up all to the sonance of those wacky sound effects and overly-excited voice-overs. What's there not to love? And hey, there's four minutes of it. The game seems to be set for release on July 17 in Japan. Anyone planning to import?

And Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G becomes the top-selling game on the charts, yet again, beating out Mario Kart Wii. We're happy for the PSP and all, but boy -- there sure is very little drama on these Japanese charts.

Valhalla Knights 2 feels primitive in new vid

Valhalla Knights 2 is striking PSP later this year. RPG fans may be glad to get a brand new game to play on the handheld, but we can't help but feel underwhelmed by the presentation. After games like Crisis Core have spoiled us with its lush visuals and plentiful voice acting, we have to say that this looks a bit ... primitive. The N64-era textures certainly don't help either.

No escape from these new Bleach: Heat the Soul 5 clips

For some reason, Bleach: Heat the Soul isn't on schedule for a US release. Too bad, because these new gameplay clips from the latest game in the franchise (they're up to #5 now) look pretty solid. Fighting games are few and far on our handheld -- we'd love to see something other than Naruto on the horizon. Perhaps, someone, somewhere, will head our pleas for a US release of any of the Heat the Soul games. Onegai? Until then, we're simply going to have to import the games.

Space invaders hijack our gallery, PAL invasion set for July

Look out! There are more goofy looking aliens coming our way. In fact, they've invaded our image gallery and have holed up inside. So head on over there and have a look at these space visitors, study their formations, and then prepare for the real battle ahead.

When will the invasion begin? Our intelligence bureau has pinpointed that the aliens will strike on June 17 in North America. A systematical follow-up attack will commence in Europe and other PAL territories on July 4. Space Invaders Extreme is going worldwide ... it'll be the end of us all.

Deal of the Day: Pump It Up bundle $20

Korean rhythm game fans are going to love this. Both Pump It Up EXCEED Portable and Pump It Up Zero Portable are available at import retailer Play-Asia this week for only $20. Imports rarely come cheap, so getting two games for such an incredibly low price is a deal we simply can't refuse.

For the unfamiliar, the Pump It Up series is a popular music game, similar to Bemani's DDR series. Arrows go towards the top of the screen, and the player must hit the buttons in tandem with the music. Although, we're wondering: could this handheld game possibly be as fun as the arcade originals?

Meet Hot Shots Open Tee 2 cast in these here vids

Filed under: Hot Shots Golf, Video

With a US release coming up soon, there's definitely an influx of Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee 2 media coming in. Have you noticed? Anyway, these two gameplay vids we have right here show off some of the game's cast of quirky characters pulling off snazzy, yet unrealistic, special moves. Take the blond guy's par at ten seconds into the clip for example; that move is so explicitly cheap we have to shake our heads in disapproval. Of course, when we get to pull that move off for ourselves, trailing behind a few holes, then it doesn't seem so bad to use that ace up the sleeve.

Check out the second clip after the break. What's in it? Watch a poor old lady fail to clear the sand trap. Sad.

Hot Shots Open Tee 2 box art revealed, plus new screens

Here's a look at the North American box cover for Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee 2. Isn't she a beauty? The boy in the red sweater does seem familiar though ... where have we seen him before? Oh! That's right, he looks like the kid version of the sleazy guy on the Out of Bounds box for the PS3. Son, what have you become. Anyway, the other characters are an interesting and eclectic bunch; there's a samurai character and a granny, too. You can see them all in these ten new screenshots from our gallery below. Enjoy.

Red PSP in early? No, it's just a fake PNP

Many of us here at PSP Fanboy find the sexy red God of War PSP a worthy object to lust over. This faker called the PNP, on the other hand, is definitely not. While its emulation of the PSP's likeness is sub-par, it is quite easy to be fooled at a quick glance. If you look closer, you'll see a horizontal vertical screen that's much smaller than the PSP's. This makes us believe that this little machine of copyright infringement can only go as far as playing Tetris.

If you see this anywhere, don't bother with it. If you want a real red PSP, grab yourself the God of War one that's out this June 3rd.

PSP Fanboy hands-on: Fading Shadows

When Agetec announced they were going to release Fading Shadows in the US, they invited us to their NYC offices to try the game. We spent a good deal of time with the game -- over 10 levels -- and thoroughly enjoyed this excellent addition to the PSP library.

Yes, one of the game's leading charms is its story. To sum things up shortly, the player becomes a magical beam of light and must direct a girl who's transformed into a magical orb through a series of puzzles. It's strange, we know, but we wouldn't have it any other way. The nonsensical premise is what spurs a mellow, easy-to-understand puzzle adventure game, that's oozing with style.

The interplay between the light and the orb is well constructed. The orb is attracted to the light, and cannot move without it. At first, the light is used simply to get the orb from point A to point B. However, the game becomes more complex. The orb can transform into a variety of elements: wood, glass and metal. In its metal form, it can jump when a strong beam of light is placed on it. Wood can float across water, and glass can traverse its depths. However, players must be careful: overexposure to strong light will burn wood, and shatter glass.

%Gallery-9855%
Learning which orb to use and how is crucial to progressing through each of the game's 50 levels. However, there are other puzzles as well, which take advantage of the light in new ways. For example, there may be mirrors, which can be used to deflect light to other areas. Players may need to burn certain obstacles, or focus the light in a way it won't attract the orb. We've seen puzzles, which involve taking advantage of the orb's weight (or lack thereof), and even a few puzzles where we had to navigate the orb carefully, Operation style.

For a puzzle game, this is an especially attractive title, with fantastic lighting effects that make the title come to life. The art may not be inspired, but it does a more than adequate job of conveying the mood of the story. The music is incredibly relaxed, and it will only take a level or two before your mind enters a trance-like state.

Fading Shadows won't win any awards for innovation, but it is an incredibly solid addition to the PSP library. There are a number of good puzzle games that have gone without gamer attention (Crush, Downstream Panic!) ... don't let Fading Shadows join that ever-growing list.

Play a mini-game with these new Buzz! Master Quiz screens

Not too long ago, our Buzz! Master Quiz gallery got a nice update all thanks to Europe's PlayStation Day. This week, we've got eight brand new shots based off the North American version of the game. Can you spot all the spelling differences between the British and American English? We guess you can make this into a mini-game of sorts, "spot the meticulous details," while you wait for this game to come out sometime this Fall. A Summer release for Europe means that gamers over there won't have to keep themselves busy analyzing screenshots for much longer. In the meantime North Americans, keep looking for those extra U's, and S's in place of Z's (Zed). It's going to be awhile.

Worldwide PSP releases for the week of May 18

Elsewhere in the world, they're going to get a chance to play some tactical turn-based warfare in Daisenryaku VII Exceed. It sounds like fun, but it would be nice, you know, if it were in English so we could play it.

Pre-order Naruto Heroes 2, get bonus figurine

If you're planning to pick up Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes 2 on its June 24 release in North America, then make sure you put down a pre-order ahead of time. Why do that? Well, don't you want to snag for yourself a free figurine? You could be eligible to win one of these six figurines pictured above. There is one catch though; you'll have to do slightly more than just pre-order.

To get your figurine you'll have to register as a member of Hokage's Room -- the official Naruto website. Then you'll have to join a special "pre-order mission." If you've pre-ordered on GameStop's online store you could also win one out of ten Naruto PSP skins in addition to a guaranteed figurine.

This all sounds a little too much like a hassle, if you ask us. Anyway, if you're really interested make sure you check out the full details over at Hokage's Room.

Fading Shadows coming to US, courtesy of Agetec

The unique PSP-exclusive puzzler, Fading Shadows, is coming to America, courtesy of Agetec. In the game, players must direct a mystical beam of light to help a magical orb traverse various trap-filled puzzles. There are fifty levels to try when the game comes out this Summer.

One of the more intriguing aspects of Fading Shadows is the game's detailed story, an unusual addition to the puzzle genre. With such an inspired style, we can't help but be a bit intrigued by the game. (See video here.)

"We're very happy to be publishing this game as we think many people will be fascinated by the story," says Agetec's producer Mark Johnson. "It's an incredible, one-of-a-kind game that features an intriguing story, brain teasing puzzles, and unique gameplay. Puzzle fans will not be disappointed."

April NPD: hardware sales rising, no bestselling software

PSP hardware continues to sell incredibly well, outpacing both the PS3 and Xbox 360 on a monthly basis. April's NPD figures have come in, and PSP sold 192,696 units last month. That's an increase of 5.6% from April 2007, although a significant plummet from March 2008. Considering the lack of high-profile new releases, a drop in hardware makes a lot of sense.

Software sales were at a million units for the month, a respectable figure. However, God of War and Crisis Core quickly dropped out of the bestsellers list, after a brief appearance last month. These two titles are unsurprisingly the top sellers on the PSP platform this month.

Check out the numbers, after the break.

- Wii: 714.2K 6.8K (0.94%)
- DS: 414.8K 283.2K (40.6%)
- PSP: 192.7K 104.3K (35.1%)
- Xbox 360: 188K 74K (28.2%)
- PS3: 187.1K 69.9K (27.2%)
- PS2: 124.4K 91.6K (42.4%)

April Software

1. GTA IV - Xbox 360 - 1.85 million*
2. Mario Kart Wii - Wii - 1.12 million
3. GTA IV - PS3 - 1.00 million*
4. Wii Play w/ remote - Wii - 360K
5. Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Wii - 326K
6. Gran Turismo 5: Prologue - PS3 - 224K

Details on Phantasy Star Portable, import PSU characters

Filed under: News, Hacks, Phantasy Star

Finally, more information on Phantasy Star Portable has surfaced. The biggest reveal involves the ability to import characters from Phantasy Star Universe -- the console game that PSP is based on. Players of the PS2 and PC versions of Phantasy Star Universe may import their characters and carry over their character's name and personal data as well as currently equipped cloths and parts. Level, however, will be capped at level 20 and spare equipment, special items, etc. will not be carried over. Those with a 360 PSU will not be able to import any data at all.

Also, the game has an all-new story mode with new missions. A four player co-op mode through an ad hoc connection will also be included. Phantasy Star Portable is currently set for release in Japan on July 31. A North American release has yet to be announced.

Crisis Core coming to Europe in June

As usual, Square Enix took their time localizing a game to Europe. Crisis Core, the exciting PSP-exclusive prequel to Final Fantasy VII, is finally coming to Europe in June. Of course, the delay may be worth it for those picking up the Special Edition version of the game (pictured, above).

John Yamamoto, president and chief executive officer of Square Enix Ltd. commented in the press release, "CRISIS CORE -FINAL FANTASY VII- is one of the most anticipated FINAL FANTASY releases of all times. Pushing the boundaries of the PSP hardware, it offers a truly fantastic gameplay experience to not only existing fans, but new ones as well."

Metal Gear Solid digital comic may skip PSP, go to DVD

Filed under: Metal Gear: Graphic Novel

Those anticipating the next Metal Gear Solid digital comic on PSP may be sorely disappointed. The first comic was released on UMD and retold Snake's Shadow Moses adventure, through stylishly animated comic panels. A sequel, based on the events of Metal Gear Solid 2, was supposed to be released on PSP as well, but has mysteriously vanished since we last saw it. This new comic would be presented in the same style as the first, but would include voice acting from series vets.

Japanese retailer Game Star has listed a 2-disc DVD release for a new Metal Gear Solid digital comic, which includes both retellings. The planned release is June 12th, the same day as the PS3-exclusive Metal Gear Solid 4. Certainly, a DVD release would be more viable, and there are ways to get DVD content on to a PSP. We'll have to wait for more details.

European PC Store update for May 15th

We have to say, we expected there to be more than a week between Sony announcing full PSP games being made available on the PSN/PC Store and it actually happening. We are, however, pleasantly surprised. Not only that, but there's another PS1 game available today -- specially for all you RTS fans out there. Here's the list:
  • WipEout Pure full PSP game (£14.99/€19.99) (Review)
  • Command & Conquer: Red Alert PS1 game for PS3/PSP (£3.49/€4.99)
The PlayStation Store certainly becomes a much more interesting place once there's stuff to buy. Don't you agree?

Pro Cycling Manager returns to PSP with 2008 season

A complete skills editor and a new young talent recruiting system."

Policenauts storms Japanese PS Store

In preparation of Metal Gear Solid 4's release, Konami has unleashed a Kojima classic onto the PSN. No, not the original Metal Gear Solid (that's already available in Japan!). It's Policenauts. This is one of Kojima's earlier works: a graphic adventure game, similar to Kojima's Snatcher. Through its point and click interface, players take control of a cryogenically frozen Jonathan Ingram, who wakes up in the year 2040. His estranged wife asks for his help in finding her missing second husband. After her murder, Jonathan has no choice but to use the clues provided to him and go on a journey through space to fulfill his dead wife's wish.

Kojima's Policenauts is joined by another PS1 title, Nectaris, in today's PSN update.

PSP hardware sales rise, software sales stagnate

In terms of software sales, the PS2's enormous installed base led to sales of 154 million units, down 39.5 million on the year but still almost triple the other PlayStation platforms. The PSP only showed minimal growth, however, adding just 800,000 games over last year to a 55.5 million total for the year to March 31. PSP, as expected, performed very well in Sony's annual fiscal report, ending March 31, 2008. Annual hardware sales rose to 13.9 million, an increase of 46% from fiscal 2007. The redesigned hardware provided a lot of momentum in America, and Japan's insatiable taste for Monster Hunter certainly helped Sony's handheld quite a bit.

However, in spite of significant growth in hardware, software sales stagnated. The PSP sold through 55.5 million software units, a growth of approximately 1% from last year. In spite of a slew of major new releases, like Crisis Core, software sales on PSP simply don't perform as well as they should.

Fate/Tiger UPPER gets new screens & an expensive LE set

More screenshots of Fate/Tiger Colosseum UPPER are here to look at. The super-deformed hijinks look colorful to say the least. It might be a promising fighting game, one for all ages ... unlike the game's seedy origins. The game is set for an August 28 release in Japan, so importers get ready.

Speaking of importers, you might be interested in this extra bit of news: the game is getting a limited edition "Megamori Box." Included in the box is a set of Tarot cards specific to the series, a card binder, a Drama music CD, a DVD, and a 72-page booklet. All for ¥9,800 ($94.28). Yikes, that's quite a lot of cash to be forking over for a slightly obscure PSP game. We're not even paying that much for the MGS4 limited edition on the PS3. Possibly the most expensive limited edition on the PSP (excluding those bundled with the system)? Maybe.

XSEED and Marvelous join in co-publishing agreement

PSP fans will be familiar with both Marvelous Entertainment and XSEED Games. Both have been key supporters of the PSP through a number of niche games for the handheld. The two companies have announced a new partnership, in which XSEED will support Marvelous Entertainment in bringing their titles over to North America. Valhalla Knights 2 for the PSP will be the first title to be released under this partnership, which is scheduled to launch in Fall 2008.

Valhalla Knights 2 is a follow-up to the previous PSP-exclusive action RPG. The sequel adds new races, job classes, weapons, magic spells, foes, armor, and more. Players will be able to partake in real-time 6 on 6 battles. The game supports 2 player ad-hoc network play, which enables co-op and versus modes.

Expect more details on Valhalla Knights 2 and other titles from this partnership in the future.

Extreme trailer for Space Invaders Extreme

This trailer for the upcoming Space Invaders Extreme shows off all that re-invented gameplay and new visual style we've been touting about. The trailer music is also infectiously delightful, so make sure you check out the vid to witness the game's sights and sounds.

Celebrating 30 years of invasion, Taito has really done quite well tweaking the classic without changing the original formula too much. This makes us extremely excited to shoot down some multi-colored aliens and defend the home planet. Luckily, we won't have to wait too long; the game will be out in just about a month's time: June 17.

ESRB rating points to Suikoden on US PSN

An ESRB rating for Suikoden has surfaced suggesting that the oft-revered RPG could become digital distribution content for the North American PSN. Re-rated as a PS3 and PSP title, it seems that there's something definitely in the works; however, as Siliconera points out, other Konami titles like Castlevania Chronicles have been rated in the past but have yet seen a release. It could be a long time (or never) before we see this classic on anything other than a PS1 disc.

Hopefully this does come into fruition. It was quite disappointing that the PSP pack Suikoden I + II didn't see release outside Japan. So, if the game does come out on the PSN, North American PSP gamers will finally be able to take Suikoden on the go.

Skype headset finally available (for real!)

We're glad that SCEA finally confirmed the availability of Skype-compatible PSP headsets at retailers today. When we first discovered the peripheral, it was supposed to release last month for $20. Well, looks like things have changed. The peripheral is now available at a MSRP of $30 at your favorite retailer. We checked amazon.com, buy.com, and GameStop -- and it appears that buy.com is still your best bet.

The new headset offers stereo sound, an adjustable microphone, and a lightweight design with soft ear cushions. It's the easiest way to get Skype working on your PSP. For more information on how to use the VoIP service, check out our guide.

Deep-voiced narrator takes us through new Naruto trailer

For some reason, we're incredibly amused by this announcer's voice. There's something incredibly clashing about having such a deep-voiced narrator talk about the brand new jitsus of this Naruto game. It may not have a significant number of bells and whistles over last year's offering -- but it'll most likely be a decent addition to a genre that's sorely lacking on PSP.

It shouldn't be too surprising to see Wipeout Pulse and Daxter move to PS2. Sony has made it something of a tradition to move its big PSP exclusives back onto Sony's aging home console. While this potential move may anger some, it's important to note that these ports usually come out over a year since the original release -- long past a game's relevance at the store shelves.

These ports are not confirmed (the only source we see is French site Jeuxvideo.fr). But with Wipeout HD coming out on PS3 and Secret Agent Clank coming out on PSP, there's very little reason for fans to get up-in-arms about these potential projects.

[Thanks, Joe!]

The mysterious introduction to Secret Agent Clank

Filed under: Ratchet and Clank, Video

The intro to Secret Agent Clank raises a good number of questions: why is Ratchet breaking into a museum dressed in a robe? Why is he so crazed? What is the Eye of Infinity -- and where is it? Within minutes, Secret Agent Clank is thrust into a world of mystery, intrigue, and kung-fu ninja action.

Make your PSP glow in the dark

Seeing this sort of mod makes you just want to stop and stare and say some pre-school gibberish like "ooh, glowing thing." While you comfortably ogle idly with desire, we'll continue reporting on this gorgeous add-on. When you're ready to wipe the drool over your chin, read on.

This product you see here is called the XCM Magic Night Glow faceplate. It latches onto the front side of slim model PSPs only and comes in pearl, yellow, blue (pictured), green, pink, and red. Each faceplate glows a different color than its original scheme. For example: the blue one pictured above will glow greenish (also pictured). So far there's no price set yet, but you can find a place to pre-order it over at XCM's website.

Now, just think of all the practical uses your PSP will now have; it's not only a game machine and a music player, but also a nightlight and a rave party glow toy! Sweet.

PSP owners will connect to a PC in order to download videos to their PSP systems. Content will be available on a pay-per-view basis, and through subscriptions as well.

You wish for iWish, latest PSP mock-up

When we look at Mat Brady's convergence PSP mock-up, we can't help but laugh and get confused at the same time. This Frankensteinien combination of an iPhone, Windows Mobile device and PSP should be able to play games, browse the internet, play music, and cook you food. This certainly would save a lot of space in our already-bursting pockets. Check out a high-res image here.

Is the PSP a sleeping giant? D2C thinks so

Scott Orr, founder of D2C Games, had an optimistic view on the PSP in a recent interview with Gamasutra. He believes that, given the handheld's increasingly strong sales, "the PSP platform is a sleeping giant." The only thing it's waiting on is "content that's value priced and easily obtainable." Supporting this thought, D2C Games is porting its WiiWare title SPOGS Racing to the PSP this June.

While porting over a budget title from the Wii is not really a clear indication of fully supporting the "sleeping giant," it is good to see D2C putting something on the PSP. The company's positive outlook does seem a bit surprising given that Orr himself admitted that D2C's previous venture on the handheld did not fare too well in terms of sales. We're talking about the digital comic The Cryptics.

In any case, it's always nice to know that there are developers out there willing to bring content to the PSP. The PSP, as most of you have noticed, is experiencing a gaming drought with little to no new games released weekly. So, hearing positive support like this is great. We would only hope though that there be more original IP. Mr. Orr, what the PSP is really waiting on is content -- not just the value-priced or easily obtainable ones.

Ultimate Board Game Collection stealthily releases in Europe

You know, it's never an ideal business strategy to not previously announce a release date for your product. Releasing something like a videogame and then yelling surprise on the day of sale itself just makes one question why they even bothered. Apparently, Ultimate Board Game Collection has been out in the UK as of May 2. We've known for awhile the game was going to Europe, but we didn't think it would hit so soon.

Well, it is and it can only be bought at the GAME retail shops. The game is also out on the Wii and PS2; however, the PSP is the definitive version with the most number of games in the collection (24 in all) and with some added features only found on the handheld. A cool feature is the ability to use songs stored on your memory stick for BGM selection. You can also make jigsaw puzzles out of your photos.

North Americans don't get uppity over this sneakily released game; we've had this title on our store shelves for about one year now. This seems to be an evolving trend: swapping years-old games across the Atlantic. Anyway, if you're interested, check out the official website to see a full list of classic board games.

ESRB lists potential upcoming PS1 downloads

Reader Matt G. sent in a tip, detailing a number of PS1 titles rated by the ESRB that have yet to be released on PSP/PS3. These downloadable classics should arrive on the PSN some time in the future -- but when?

  • Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo (E)
  • Buster Bros. Collection (E)
  • Street Fighter Alpha (T) -- previously discovered, not released
  • Rayman (E)

SCEA has been slow to make PS1 classics available on the PS Store. We're eagerly awaiting a version of Puzzle Fighter we can take on the go.

Yes, PSP is still selling well in Japan

These articles are pretty much writing themselves. Will PSP's incredible momentum ever stop? We don't know -- there just isn't an end to the PSP's domination as of late. Check out the latest weekly numbers from Japan:
  • PSP - 92,411
  • DS Lite - 48,796
  • Wii - 42,435
  • PS3 - 9,107
  • PS2 - 7,108
  • Xbox 360 - 1,283
For those keeping track, PSP sales actually went up this week, and now holds a staggering lead over every other platform with about 1.5 million sales this year. Certainly, the Japanese market is very different from the American one.

Finally! We can see Captain Quark in action! Secret Agent Clank hasn't been pushing the limits of PSP graphics, but we have to say that things look a bit more charming in these new screens. The lighting effects look really great, and the number of characters on screen is impressive. We're glad to finally see the new enemies that'll be featured in this PSP-exclusive spin-off -- they look just as zany as the series' past creations.

Atlantic Link launches educational software for PSP

Atlantic Link is now offering PSP owners the most valuable gift of all: the gift of learning. Their e-learning tools can now design courses for the PSP's internet browser, which can be deployed from Memory Stick or online. The tools allow creators to adapt their programs to the small screen.

Mike Alcock from Atlantic Link is perhaps a bit too enthusiastic about the possibilities of this service. In their press release, he notes: "The potential applications for this technology are huge and almost mind-boggling. Tourist guides, language training, product training and updates, maintenance guides and training, medical training, interactive museum guides, schools training, the list is almost endless."

It's great to see a company expand their offering to focus on Sony's handheld. Who knows? Perhaps we'll all be learning through our PSPs thanks to Atlantic Link. To see a demo of the service on your PSP, click here.

Sad.

- PS3: 187.1K 69.9K (27.2%)
- PS2: 124.4K 91.6K (42.4%)

  • Command & Conquer: Red Alert PS1 game for PS3/PSP (£3.49/€4.99)
The PlayStation Store certainly becomes a much more interesting place once there's stuff to buy. Don't you agree?

Pro Cycling Manager returns to PSP with 2008 season

Pro Cycling Manager/Tour de France is going for round two on the PSP with this year's 2008 edition. Of course, the game will be out in time for the actual Tour de France race. So if you're an avid fan of cycling, keep an eye out for this game's June 19 release date.

There's some notable changes made to this bike simulation game; there's the addition of cycling events Keirin, elimination, and cycle speedway. Also, the management aspect of the game has undergone an overhaul with an "entirely new stamina system and highly realistic progression curve for each rider ... A complete skills editor and a new young talent recruiting system."

Support for the PSP's ad hoc multiplayer mode is also included in Pro Cycling Manager 2008. The game incorporates 18 official Tour de France teams and their respective cyclists. There's more information on the series at the official website, so check that out if you're even slightly interested to learn more.

Deal of the Day: Ratchet & Clank for $15

Get ready for the release of Secret Agent Clank by playing the first PSP Ratchet game, Size Matters. High Impact did an incredible job of recreating the classic Ratchet gameplay on the handheld. Watch for the space missions: they're still some of the prettiest levels created for any PSP game to date.

Check it out for $15 at amazon.com.

Rumor: Wipeout Pulse and Daxter moving to PS2

Sweet.

One thing of note: the Go!View video download service (exclusively available in Europe) will be available on June 30th.

  • Wipeout XL (E)
  • Jet Moto 3 (E)
  • Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo (E)
  • Buster Bros. Collection (E)
  • Street Fighter Alpha (T) -- previously discovered, not released
  • Rayman (E)
  • Castlevania Chronicles (T) -- previously discovered, not released

Secret Agent Clank is looking better in these new screens

Click for full-resolution image.
